Hi, lovelies! After my previous post about my Morphe haul, you all knew this post was inevitable. A review of the Morphe 25C: Hey Girl Hey palette is coming your way. As you all probably know by now, I adore Morphe shadows, they’re such great quality and amazing value for money. As soon as I went on the Morphe website, this post immediately caught my eye. I don’t tend to wear bright eyeshadows normally but this palette just screamed spring, and I had to have it. A look created with this palette will most likely be on my Instagram very soon.

This palette reminds me most of the Morphe 15D palette (review here), in the sense that it is simple, black, sturdy packaging with white lettering. I always like this packaging as you will always know it is Morphe, simple but to the point. Unlike the 15D palette, this one doesn’t have the names of the shadows printed on the packaging, but instead, there is a clear insert. For most people, this isn’t an issue at all. But it does make blogging a smidge harder haha. I am slightly disappointed that this palette doesn’t have a mirror, which would make it so much easier for travelling and general use. But, as most of the Morphe palettes don’t have mirrors, it wasn’t a massive shock.

The Shadows:

So obviously the clue is in the name, the Morphe 25C palette has 25 shadows. The palette was only £19 can you believe it?! This works out at only 76p an eyeshadow… that is insane. For your money you are getting 40g of product, so this palette will definitely last you a very long time. The palette is very versatile with a mixture of mattes, shimmers, velvets.. you name it, this palette has got it. So I know you’re all dying to know about the actual shadows, so I’ll get right into it.

The first 12 shadows:

  • Jeno – An icy pink shimmer. I love this shade, all over the lid or even as an inner corner highlight.
  • Brooke – A matte peach shade. This is my go-to transition shade to make all of the shadows blend better and to set my primer/concealer.
  • Lilly – A matte clay shade. Works well in the crease to add definition.
  • Harper – A copper shimmer. There are no other words except stunning for this shadow.
  • Ella – A warm matte brown. Slightly patchy but still very pigmented.
  • Leilani – A matte cream – another great transition shade.
  • London – A bronze shimmer that is slightly lighter than ‘Harper’, beautiful all over the lid.
  • Sienna – A copper matte that is lovely in the crease and underneath the eye.
  • Aria – A matte brown mauve shade. Looks great to add warmth to any look.
  • Nattie – A burgandy matte – a beautiful warm toned shadow that is great for autumn/winter.
  • Maddie – A velvet matte sand. Perfect for a neutral shadow day.
  • Chloe – Oh hi there, a shadow after my name, and it happens to be my favourite – a beautiful dusty pink shade.

The last 13 shadows:

  • Bella – A frosted magenta – do I need to say anything about this shade? Hello pigment.
  • Summer – A matte magenta – I think this looks stunning underneath the lashline
  • Lucy – Matte grape shade – Would look amazing with bella in the outer corner.
  • Sydney – Coral red shimmer – soooo pretty, amazing all over the lid for in the spring.
  • Sophie – Brick red matte – slightly less pigmented but would add definition in the crease.
  • Magaly – A terracotta matte. Get it in your crease girl.
  • Grace – A reddy-brown shimmer, I love this for a more smokey look.
  • Aimee – Rusty matte – great for an all-matte look.
  • Violet – Sparkling burgandy, looks beautiful all over the lid.
  • Phoenix – Sparkling eggplant shade. Such a beautiful, sultry shimmer, would look incredible on a night out.
  • Anna – Sparkling coffee – right up my street for a smokey bronze look.
  • Emie – A matte maroon (excuse the swatch, thats my wrist that makes it look choppy not the shadow) – beautiful for a matte smoke.
  • Zariah – A black matte. Always handy.

So those are the shadows, Beautiful right? After playing with lots of the shades, I really love this palette. I am hoping to have a look using those beautiful pinks on my Instagram very soon so make sure you’re following so you don’t miss it. The vast majority of these shadows are incredibly pigmented and all blend like a dream. I am so happy I got this palette as I don’t have anything like it in my collection. I love that even though there are some bright colours, there are also more subtle colours. There really is something for everyone. You better believe I will be wearing this palette to death in the upcoming summer months. In love.

Have you tried this palette? How do you wear bright shadows? Are you dying to try this palette? Let me know in the comments.

Thanks for reading,

Hi lovelies! If you follow me on Twitter, you will know that I recently (accidentally) did a mini Morphe haul. Luckily this time it was actually a mini haul, I reigned myself in. I think I’m getting better! I thought I would share with you what I bought and why! If you would like a full review of any of the products, let me know in the comments.

Brontour – £12

As soon as I went on the Morphe website, the ‘Brontours’ caught my eye. This product consists of both a matte contour and a shimmery bronzer. I was initially intrigued due to me having no shimmery bronzers in my collection. I tend to stick to matte bronzers which can be used for contouring. As I am not really used to glowy bronzers, I thought the best thing to do was to go half and half. There are a total of 6 shades in the collection, and I decided to go with ‘Glitterati’. This duo consists of a matte ‘sand’ shade and a shimmery champagne bronzer. According to Morphe, this duo is perfect for fair skin tones. I can say straight off the bat, that this bronzer is definitely too light, and in hindsight, I would probably go for Frenemy. I chose this one because I thought the champagne gold would look really pretty. But I am not going to rule it out completely, I will give it a proper go and so if you want a full review let me know!

Morphe Y6 pro flat buffer brush – £12

So I have been debating on whether to buy this brush for a while. It has always caught my eye but I never got round to buying it. When Laura Lee released her Morphe brush collection this week, I was dying to buy it. Unfortunately, it was sold out. cry. But as Laura pretty much always talks about the Y6, I decided to buy the single brush alone! I am so excited to try this out. The gold brush is so pretty and feels really luxurious. The actual brush itself is so soft and the bristles feel very dense. I can’t wait to try this brush out and see whether it competes with my trusty Real Techniques sponge.

Morphe 25C – Hey Girl Hey eyeshadow palette -£19

Okay… a bit of an impulse buy. Guilty. But I absolutely adore Morphe shadows, and so when I saw this I just had to buy it. This new palette is part of their ‘When boy meets girl range’. I was ultimately drawn to this palette, purely because I don’t really have any pink shadows in my collection. I do have Naked 3, but these shadows were so much more vibrant and exciting, and I thought they would be perfect for spring/summer. Usually, I always tend to stick with my gold shadows but I determined to be more fun and creative with my eye looks in the future. These have swatched beautifully so far and so I can’t wait to play with them. If you want a full review/first impressions on this palette, do let me know, I can barely contain my excitement!

So that’s what I bought. As you can see it could have been a lot worse! Have you tried any of these products? Are you dying to try any of them now?

Thanks for reading, until next time,

Chloe x

One thing that you should know about me is that I love eyeshadow palettes… it’s a bit of a problem really! I prefer them so much over eyeshadow singles as they are so convenient to create lots of looks very easily and great for travel. However, I do buy too many and I’m trying to limit how many I buy! I think I have a quite a large palette collection but nowhere near as big as other bloggers I have seen! So I have narrowed them down to my 5 Favourite eyeshadow palettes, let me know if they’re your faves too.

1. Morphe Jaclyn Hill palette

If you read my 2017 favourites you will know that this is an amazing palette! It is extremely pigmented and blends like a dream. I normally don’t really buy beauty collabs because I think they tend to be overpriced for what you get but this has been my exception. There is such a wide colour range so a variety of looks can be created. Despite this, I am still too scared to use the bright colours, but they’re so stunning that I hope to be brave enough to use them soon. Love this palette!

2. Urban Decay – Naked Heat palette

I recently did a post on 5 high-end products worth the splurge and the Naked Heat palette made the cut! If you love fiery warm tones then this is the palette for you. Every man, woman and child have raved about this palette and for good reason. Obviously, Urban Decay is known for great quality, and this palette is no exception. You can create looks for both day and night with mattes and shimmers to choose from. The shimmer shades are great all over the lid, and the mattes are stunning in the crease to create definition. An overall sound palette.

3. Morphe 35F Fall into Frost palette

This palette was on my 2017 Christmas wishlist as I had heard so many amazing things about the product. I was NOT disappointed! If beautiful shimmery shades are your thing, you absolutely need this palette. Like seriously, you need it. They are incredibly pigmented and so a little goes a long way. The clue is in the name with this palette, it is perfect for the fall time, but, with a wide range of colours, I think it is great for all year round. It is such great value for money, 35 eyeshadows for a little over £20 on Beauty bay bargain of the century.

4. Urban Decay – Naked original

An oldy but a goldy… it’s as simple as that. The original naked palette has been around for years now, and still remains a cult favourite for most beauty lovers. With lots of new palettes obviously been released since then, I neglected this palette a little bit. But recently I thought I would give it another try, and I have fallen in love with it all over again. Gold eyeshadows are my thing. They are so easy to wear and I think they look great no matter what time of year it is. This palette is a gold lovers heaven, they are probably the most pigmented eyeshadows I own and last incredibly all day long. Some people think these palettes are overpriced but considering how long I have had it, and I have used it to death, I haven’t hit pan. That’s insane.

5. Morphe 15D Day slayer palette.

I did a review a few weeks ago of this palette, you can check it out here. In such a short space of time, it has become one of my all-time favourites. This is 100% a warm-toned palette, so if you are more of a cool toned kind of gal, I would avoid this palette like the plague. But if you’re like me and love warm oranges, browns and golds, you need this palette in your life. For 15 eyeshadows it is only £15 – yes you read that correctly. £1 per eyeshadow. And they are bloody brilliant. It has a mirror unlike the other Morphe Palettes and so it is perfect for travelling, I always take it with me when I stay at my friend’s house now. It is such a bargain, how can you turn it down!?

Reading back through this post, I have realised that Morphe and Urban Decay are my favourite palettes ahha! Oh well, stick to what you know! I hope you enjoyed this post and it gave you palette inspo! Let me know in the comments your faves and any recommendations that I should try out!

Hello lovelies, and thank you again for reading another one of my blog posts! I am back again with another review… this time the Morphe 15D Day Slayer palette caught my eye. One thing you should know about me is that I love morphe, the palettes are always stunning, extremely pigmented and really affordable!

About a week ago, I thought I would treat myself to the 15D palette, as the warm toned shades are right up my street! The palette is extremely affordable at only £15, and with a total of 15 shades, they are only £1 per eyeshadow!

I absolutely LOVE the packaging of this palette. In the past, I have always thought the normal 35 morphe palettes have been quite bulky and plain (almost cheap looking), but this one feels much more luxurious! The packaging is the standard black with the Morphe logo, but has a much heavier feel to it and seems much more sturdy. One MASSIVE bonus with this palette in comparison to my other Morphe collections is that it has a really big mirror. This makes it so much easier to use and is perfect for travel… and with beautiful, wearable shades, this will definitely be my go to travel palette.

This palette has a total of 9 matte shades and 6 shimmer shades, meaning a wide variety of looks can be created with this one palette. I was particularly surprised by the matte shades, which were so pigmented and blended seamlessly and really were the stars of the show! I also loved the shimmer shades, which as always, I used with a setting spray to really make them pop. Bronzed Beauty in particular is gorgeous all over the lid! As a whole, the palette is very warmed toned which is perfect for my style. If you are a more of a cool toned kind of person, this one may not be the one for you!

Lets get into the shades!

Row 1:

  • Natural – The perfect matte transition shade
  • Spark – A beautiful pale golden shimmer shade, great for an everyday glam look
  • In the crease – The clue is in the name, a lovely pale matte orange shade for defining the crease
  • Forever – A stunning dark matte orange shade
  • Bronzed Beauty – an extremely pigmented shimmering bronze shade for all over the lid

Row 2:

  • Upbeat – A beautiful matte yellow shade perfect for autumn
  • Glow – A shimmery dark orange shade, great for all year round
  • Editor – a matte light brown, works beautifully in the crease
  • Highlight – a shimmering brown toned orange
  • Define – a matte red-brown, perfect for autumn-winter and adds warmth to any look

Row 3:

  • Desert – a matte chocolate brown for adding smokiness to any look
  • Epic – a matte light brown for a subtle day look
  • Blend – my favourite shade! A shimmering rose shade, will work all year round
  • Just eyes – A shimmering purple toned brown for a smoky, sultry look
  • Sweet – A matte deep purple-brown shade for the perfect smoky eye

All of these shadows are really well made, extremely pigmented and blendable and great value for money! The only thing that is missing is a highlight shade, but other than that it is perfect. It has become my new favourite palette and I get so many compliments when I wear it. Well done Morphe!

Do you have this palette? What are your thoughts? Has this review tempted you to buy this palette?

I would love to know your thoughts, so leave a comment below! Thanks again for reading!

2017 was an amazing year for makeup, and with so many amazing products released my bank account was feeling pretty sorry for itself! With the new year now here, I thought I’d give you guys an overview of all of my favourite makeup items of 2017.

Primer: Before 2017, I had never really bothered with primers and didn’t understand the big hoo-haa about them. Last year I thought I’d finally see what the fuss was all about! The YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer was hands down my favourite. First of all, the packaging is absolutely GORGEOUS, I love how it is gold to match the actual product on the inside. The primer is so silky and smooth and makes my skin look flawless and my foundation to apply beautifully. It really does live up to the hype.

Foundation: I have tried SO many foundations this year to try and work with my combination skin and found that the Bourjois Healthy Mix anti-fatigue foundation was the true winner! I wear the shade ’52 vanilla’ and it is the perfect colour for my skin. I have always been self conscious about my skin and this foundation provides enough coverage to make my skin appear flawless without being too heavy. I also love the demi matte finish which is perfect for the winter months.

Concealer: There is only one concealer that I have repurchased time and time again and that is the Maybelline The eraser eye in the shade ‘light’. It is brightens the under eye and really erases my terrible dark circles… and the best part? It doesn’t crease on me!

Powder: I was very torn between my two favourite powders: The Laura Mercier Loose setting powder and the Rimmel Stay Matte. They are both amazing but the Rimmel powder just takes the lead because of how cheap it is! It keeps my shine at bay for a good 5-6 hours, and a top up doesn’t cause my foundation to look cakey… LOVE.

Bronzer: Hands down, the Benefit Hoola bronzer is the best bronzer on the market. It is the perfect shade for my pale skin so I don’t look like I work with Willie Wonker and is quite cool toned and so is great for contouring! It lasts so long that after nearly two years (yes I know thats gross) I only now got one for Christmas!

Highlighter: Another Benefit win this year with the Dandelion twinkle highlighter. It gives just enough glow without being too blinding for every day wear. It is a beautiful pink shade and I always get compliments whenever i wear it.

Brows: This was a tricky one because I absolutely hate brow maintenance. I only bought this product recently but it is my new favourite and makes doing my brows much less of a chore. I use the colour ’04 Espresso’ which matches my hair brilliantly.

Mascara: Again another recent discovery is the Loreal Lash paradise mascara. It makes such a massive difference to my lashes that I have been asked if I’ve been wearing falsies when wearing it! This has finally knocked my Urban Decay Perversion mascara off the podium.

Eyes: Lastly, the Morphe Jaclyn Hill palette has to take the crown for the best eyeshadow palette I have purchased this year! I was really hesitant to buy this palette, thinking it was overhyped… but after BeautyBay restocked it, I gave in… I am SOOOOO glad I did! The shadows are so pigmented, blend effortlessly and look stunning on the eye! It is going to be a tough one to beat in 2018.

So, those are my favourite makeup items of 2017, comment below which your favourite product has been this year! Thankyou for reading ❤️
