Armani Beauty blogging event

Hi lovelies, long time no speak! I haven’t posted in a while but I have a good excuse I promise. I’ve been busy with exams (ugh) and uni work, but it is finally over, so expect more posts around here from now on. Despite being busy with exams, on Sunday, I had the pleasure of being invited to an Armani Beauty blogging event at the Manchester Selfridges store. It was a fab day so keep reading to find out what I got up to in my first blogging event of the year!

So I am a keen bean. I got there early. Like always. It’s a problem okay. When I first arrived I met the lovely Kate who was running the event who gave me prosecco to drink and some chocolate nibbles. Life goals right there, who doesn’t want to fancy drinks and chocolate whilst talking about makeup? The glass had a Giorgio Armani pink ribbon tied to it and I was just obsessed with the level of detail and sophistication at the event. I happily drank the prosecco and nibbled away whilst taking lots of photos (obviously). Kate made it clear that we could ask as many questions as we wanted to learn all about Giorgio Armani beauty and all of their products.

Makeup Masterclass:

The main part of the event was a makeup masterclass performed by Zoe, an extremely talented makeup artist who had worked for the company for over 10 years! Danielle was the host of the event and very kindly invited me, and I am so grateful! Zoe did a stunning soft makeup look with vivid lip colour and I am obsessed. During the masterclass, we learned all about the history of Giorgio Armani and their beauty products (hello flawless, natural skin). It was so interesting to learn how a single product can be used in multiple different ways. Get more for your money, am I right?! I love the idea of using a darker concealer shade for contouring not only your cheekbones but also your eyes, it looked amazing on Danielle! It was great to get a feel of all of the products and how they relate to different fabrics like silk. I’d definitely recommend going to a makeup masterclass at your local Selfridges store, especially if you’re curious about trying their products for the first time.

Armani Beauty blogging event:

At the event, we were kindly given a goody bag* filled with lots of different samples for us to try. I love the idea of doing this as you get to try before you buy! In the bag was perfume samples, powder, primers, lipstick and foundation, you name it! I am so excited to give all of these a go. Of course, me being me, I had to buy a few things for myself whilst I was there. I’d been dying to try the Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation. I thought it would be the perfect opportunity for me to get colour matched (shade 4 if you’re wondering) and so I was sold! I also wanted to treat myself to a new lipstick. I’m so over matte lipsticks/liquid lipsticks at the minute so I went for a glossy nude (101). This feels amazing on the lips, it is so hydrating and doesn’t feel sticky at all. As I bought two things, I also got a free full sized mascara* which I really like. It adds volume and length without going clumpy so I would definitely recommend trying this out if you’re after a new mascara.

So that was the event! I had an amazing time and I am so grateful to Danielle for inviting me. Have you ever tried any Giorgio Armani beauty products? Are you dying to try the Luminous Silk cult classic? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for reading,

Chlo x

Some of the products mentioned in this post were very kindly gifted to me. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
