Hi, lovelies! I’m so sorry for the post shortage lately but the dry period has officially ended! June was a crazy month! Is anybody else in shock that we are in July already? This year needs to calm the f down. 2018 is flying by and it is starting to really freak me out. But whilst I’m stressing over the ticking time bomb that is 2018, continue reading to see what I loved in June!
Recently I was lucky enough to get sent lots of different teas to try from Adagio Teas. If you should know anything about me, it’s that I love tea. I drink way too much. The human body is 70% water? Not this gals. I normally stick to my basic bitch English tea but I have been pushing the boat out lately. Adagio teas have soooo many different flavours ranging from green and peppermint to more adventurous flavours such as caramel and pina colada! These along with their terrific iced teas are fab for these summer months and have been helping me to keep hydrated and healthy in this heat. A personal favourite of mine has been the mango flavour, it is so refreshing and tastes delicious! The teas are great for the skin by keeping you hydrated, and the anti-oxidants are very calming (something I definitely need).
Keep an eye out on my Twitter for a giveaway soon, with a wide selection of teas, teaware and glassware up for grabs!
Pixi Glow Tonic
After deliberating for ages I finally gave into the hype of the Glow Tonic. I couldn’t resist the temptation any more and purchased the glow tonic for myself, in the hopes it will make miracles happen on my face. I was not disappointed. Okay a bit of an exaggeration, my face has not magically turned flawless after using this product but I have seen improvements. Pixi claims that the 5% Glycolic acid within the tonic will gently remove dead skin cells to get beautiful, smooth skin. The aloe vera will hydrate and soothe the skin with ginseng promoting vibrant skin. If that wasn’t enough you also have witch hazel to tone and firm the skin as well as horse chestnut for a dewy look. Wow, that is a lot of ingredients in one product. But it truly works. Before trying the tonic out, I used to have to use a physical exfoliator most days to get rid of my dry, flaky skin (gross). But just swiping this over the skin, once to twice a day, I don’t need to bother! My skin feels smoother, healthier, more glowy and hydrated. A definite win, I will 100% repurchase.
Yes, I have been loving the sun. If you don’t live in the UK, you should know the UK has been hot as balls for the past 3 weeks. If you do live in the UK, you will know how AMAZING it is. We are actually having a summer this year, can you believe it? Although it is hot as hell, and sleeping is a nightmare, and I am permanently sweaty, I am definitely loving the summer vibes and making the most of this sun! I love how social everybody gets in the warm weather. You only have to say ‘beer garden’ and I’m there! One of my favourite things to do has been walking my lil dog Millie around (obviously when it gets slightly cooler). She is also loving the weather and keeps sunbathing in the garden… cute. Of course, I am getting my tan on aswell, I love the fact that I can get naturally brown around this time of year and don’t have to mess around with fake tan. I have to get the base tan ready for interrailing so I don’t burn to a crisp! Although I would like some rain at night time, I don’t ever want this sun to leave.
I was lucky enough to get sent three of the BlanX pro toothpaste range in June, and everyone in my house (including me) loved them. The packaging is beautiful, especially the pink one, but all three are definitely Insta worthy. They taste delicious, and leave my mouth all minty fresh! My teeth feel super clean and have gotten so much whiter! I don’t have much to say about these, because it is only toothpaste after all! But they are super affordable and if you’re looking to get whiter teeth, definitely give them a go.
Yes, I am obsessed with Love Island. Am I ashamed? Hell NO. Love Island is great and I don’t care who disagrees with me. Sometime’s we need to watch trash TV and obsess over somebody else’s shitty love life for a change. I am all for watching hot guys and girls cause drama for entertainment purposes, but that doesn’t make me shallow or boring. Although it is definitely not as good as last year, I have still dedicated my life to it and I have absolutely no regrets. Unfortunately, I am interrailing when the finale airs, but you better believe I will find a way to watch it (probably on a train somewhere). Who is your fave this year? Let me know in the comments.
So those were my June Favourites, what did you love last month?
