Of course, you all knew this post was coming. I know I’ve been a bit sporadic with my posting schedule recently (sorry), but I still had to get my May favourites up for you guys. I’ve been loving lots of products this month (and hating a few, maybe that could be a separate post?) as well as some non-beauty faves. Some of these will come as no surprise to some of you, but keep reading to find out my latest obsessions.
L’Oreal Paris Back to Bronze – £8.99
I would go as far to say that this is my absolute favourite this month. If you read my L’Oreal haul post, you will know I spent a little too much money (no surprises there). I think, out of all the products I bought, this is the one I will continue to go back to the most. This bronzer is incredible! A little definitely goes a long way, so just be careful you tap off the excess and don’t put too much product on your brush. It blends beautifully, with no patchiness and adds overall warmth to the skin without looking muddy. I haven’t used any other bronzer since I bought this, and I am so glad I put it in my basket! Thanks, Boots 3for2!
L’Oreal Paris Glow Mon Amour Highlighting drops – £9.99
Oh look, another L’Oreal product made it into my monthly favourites! What can I say, they’re slaying right now. I won’t go into too much detail on these drops as I did a full review here. All you need to know is, these drops are stunning, will give you a beautiful glow this summer, and you need to go buy them right now. Okay, so obviously there is more than that, but you get the gist. If you buy these drops, you will look like a glowing goddess in no time. I am definitely taking this interrailing with me.
Morphe 25C: Hey Girl Hey palette – £19
I recently dived back into this palette as I wanted to try a fun, bright eyeshadow look this spring. If you have followed me for a while, you’ll know I tend to stick to my bronzy, gold looks. Bright colours are a no go for me. But I thought I’d stray out of my comfort zone and be bold. You can see the pink eye look I did below. If anybody has any tips on how to take photos of eyeshadow looks, hit me up. I seriously can’t do it! But anyway, dong this look made me fall back in love with this palette. I forgot how pigmented the shadows were, and how easily they blend. If you’re looking for a versatile palette with both bright and neutral colours, this is the one for you. I won’t go into much more detail as you can find a full review with swatches here, but this palette is such a bargain and I’m so happy I bought it.
Ed Sheeran Divide album
Yay, a non-beauty fave! If you follow me on Twitter, you might have seen that I recently went watching Ed Sheeran live at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester. It was such an incredible, emotional night. I had never seen Ed live before and I was not disappointed. He is crazy talented and has such a great stage presence despite it just being him and his guitar. Since the concert, I have been obsessively listening to his album and it blows my mind how he sounds exactly like the album live. If you ever get the opportunity to see Ed live, do it, you’ll not be disappointed.
Since the cancellation and fast renewal of Brooklyn nine-nine I have been obsessively binge-watching the show on Netflix. Seriously, Netflix will be my downfall. That small gap between episodes is the reason I’ve been slacking on the blog haha. I love this show, and I may have accidentally binged 4 seasons in a few weeks… guilty! I’m so happy this has been picked up for a new season and I am ridiculously excited for the new episodes!
So those are my May favourites! What have you been loving this month? Let me know in the comments!
