Morphe 15D Day Slayer palette: Review and Swatches

Hello lovelies! I am back again with another review… this time the Morphe 15D Day Slayer eyeshadow palette caught my eye. One thing you should know about me is that I love Morphe, the palettes are always stunning, extremely pigmented and really affordable! About a week ago, I thought I would treat myself to the Morphe 15D day slayer eyeshadow palette, as the warm toned shades are right up my street. The palette is extremely affordable at only £15, and with a total of 15 shades, they are only £1 per eyeshadow! Keep reading to find out my Morphe 15d review, is it worth your money?

Morphe 15D Day Slayer eyeshadow palette review:

The Morphe 15D Palette packaging:

I absolutely LOVE the packaging of this palette. In the past, I have always thought the normal 35 Morphe palettes have been quite bulky and plain (almost cheap looking), but this one feels much more luxurious! The packaging is the standard black with the Morphe logo, but has a much heavier feel to it and seems much more sturdy. One MASSIVE bonus with this palette in comparison to my other Morphe collections is that it has a really big mirror. This makes it so much easier to use and is perfect for travel… and with beautiful, wearable shades, this will definitely be my go to travel palette.

The one thing that I think Morphe are still missing in terms of their packaging, is including a brush. I get that not including an eyeshadow brush keeps the costs down, but as the brand is called ‘Morphe Brushes’ you might expect to see one inside a palette.

The Morphe 15D Palette shadows:

This palette has a total of 9 matte shades and 6 shimmer shades, meaning a wide variety of looks can be created with this one palette. I was particularly surprised by the matte shades, which were so pigmented and blended seamlessly and really were the stars of the show! I also loved the shimmer shades, which as always, I use with a setting spray to really make them pop. Bronzed Beauty in particular is gorgeous all over the lid! As a whole, the palette is very warmed toned which is perfect for my style. If you are a more of a cool toned kind of person, this one may not be the one for you!

Lets get into the shades!

The Morphe 15D eyeshadow palette swatches

Row 1:

  • Natural – The perfect matte transition shade
  • Spark – A beautiful pale golden shimmer shade, great for an everyday glam look
  • In the crease – The clue is in the name, a lovely pale matte orange shade for defining the crease
  • Forever – A stunning dark matte orange shade
  • Bronzed Beauty – an extremely pigmented shimmering bronze shade for all over the lid

Row 2:

  • Upbeat – A beautiful matte yellow shade perfect for autumn
  • Glow – A shimmery dark orange shade, great for all year round
  • Editor – a matte light brown, works beautifully in the crease
  • Highlight – a shimmering brown toned orange
  • Define – a matte red-brown, perfect for autumn-winter and adds warmth to any look

Row 3:

  • Desert – a matte chocolate brown for adding smokiness to any look
  • Epic – a matte light brown for a subtle day look
  • Blend – my favourite shade! A shimmering rose shade, will work all year round
  • Just eyes – A shimmering purple toned brown for a smoky, sultry look
  • Sweet – A matte deep purple-brown shade for the perfect smoky eye

Overall Morphe 15D Day Slayer thoughts …

All of these shadows are really well made, extremely pigmented and blendable and great value for money! The only thing that is missing is a highlight shade, but other than that it is perfect. It has become my new favourite palette and I get so many compliments when I wear it. Well done Morphe!

Update – I have had this palette for nearly two years now and it is still one of my all-time favourites!

Do you have this palette? What are your thoughts? Has this review tempted you to buy this palette?

Thanks again for reading!

    • January 21, 2018 / 9:44 am

I love it! All the colours are very wearable and not too out there so I know I’ll get so much use out of it! Plus I love gold ? I will happily pay £15 when I’ll wear every shade ? thanks for reading!

Oooo! This is nice! I have the 35O and I mainly reach for the colors in this mini palette. This is a great replacement when my 35O runs out. I love that this comes with a mirror! Great review!

    • January 21, 2018 / 2:22 pm

Thanks lovely! I’ve always wanted to try the 35O but kept putting it off! I think the 24G will be my next purchase ?

I have a lot of the 35 shadow palettes but if you’re looking for one where you will wear all of the colours id definitely go for it! There’s not a single eyeshadow in this palette which I wouldn’t use ? thanks for reading lovely! X

The shades look really unique! I haven’t seen an orange toned palette like that in a while. It’s nice to see a review on a different Morphe palette instead of one of the huge ones. I’ve always thought those would be too bulky to carry around x

    • January 21, 2018 / 8:57 pm

Yeah I have a few of the others and they are quite chunky, they’re fine for at home but not ideal for travel! This one is limited edition though so harder to come across! X

    • January 22, 2018 / 2:00 pm

They’re great! Just ordered some makeup revolution palettes aswell, I’ve heard that they’re great for only £4!

  11. January 22, 2018 / 5:06 pm

Thanks for this review! Looking at the pans I was worried that some of the shades would be too similar for the palette to be worth buying but from your swatches I can tell they are all beautiful and different! I have the 15N palette from Morphe and I also use it for travelling because of the big mirror, I might have to purchase this one as well though!
